Life's Amazing Secrets

Leaders are Readers. Warren Buffet reads 500 pages daily, Bill Gates reads 50 books a year, Mark Cuban reads 3 hours a day. There many such examples of successful people and their reading habits. This is a good time to develop a reading habit and get the most out of this quarantine period. So here I have a book recommendation and book review of one of the books that I read during the quarantine.

LIFE'S AMAZING SECRETS: HOW TO FIND BALANCE AND PURPOSE IN YOUR LIFE

Book by Gaur Gopal Das

About the author

Gaur Gopal Das
Gaur Gopal Das

Gaur Gopal Das has been a practicing monk for twenty-three years, trying to understand the deeper aspects of the human condition: our relationships, our happiness, and our purpose. A storyteller, life coach, author and a friend to millions that are following his journey on social media. His videos have reached over 500 million views and are all focused on one thing: Making a difference!

The most amazing thing about this book is that this book basically is a narrative of the deep conversation between Gaur Gopal Das and his friend Harry in Harry's car on their way to his ashram from Harry's house. While navigating their way through Mumbai’s horrendous traffic Harry and Gaur Gopal Das delve into the concepts of various aspects of human life and relationships.

This book will give you a better understanding of spirituality and all the misconceptions associated with it. The book explains in depth about the four wheels of our life .i.e.
  1. Personal Life
  2. Relationships
  3. Work Life
  4. Social Contribution
In less than 200 pages Gaur Gopal Das manages to cover all these aspects in a very smooth and precise way. What makes this book more interesting to read are the frequent short stories from mythology or real life incidences of the author. These stories will keep you gripped with the book till the end. In fact, this book is a series of short stories with their morals that the author shares with Harry throughout the journey. The book stresses upon self discovery, the importance of gratitude and forgiveness, integrity and character, and finding one's purpose of life or the 'ikigai '. There are a lot of other secrets in this book which I won't reveal here as it may spoil your reading experience. This book is a good option to start with for beginners given the simple language and engaging nature of the narrative that would keep the newbies gripped till the end.

If you are looking to read something positive, productive, or get into self discovery, spirituality, or something that would make you introspect you should grab this book!!!!
This book is a must read dose of wisdom for all!
