FASTER THAN NORMAL -TURBOCHARGE YOUR FOCUS, PRODUCTIVITY, AND SUCCESS WITH THE SECRETS OF THE ADHD BRAIN
About the author
Peter Shankman has never ever treated ADHD as a disease or a mental disorder. Throughout the book, he talks about the hidden potentials of a person with ADHD or ADD(sometimes simply known as Attention Deficit Disorder). You can instantly connect with the daily problems faced by Peter and other people mentioned in this book with those of yours or the people around you. Not only does the author guide you regarding dealing with these situations but he also helps you to develop a routine and habits that work for your ADHD brain. Moreover, the book contains a whole lot of ways in which you can get rid of addictions(not the drug addiction) and procrastination. A person with ADHD is very prone to addictions(anything that gives him dopamine) and is usually a chronic procrastinator. The suggestions, methods or approaches mentioned by the author are productivity boosters thus making this book a very good read for non-ADHD people as well. The author also writes about how an ADHD person can use technology to boost his productivity while most ADHD people are addicted to it. He mentions various applications, softwares, and devices that you can purchase to help you tackle with ADHD, distractions, and procrastination. Though from a student's perspective, I found a few tech hacks/suggestions unfeasible but there is so much to take from the book that you can overlook it. The author also mentions the challenges which ADHD people face in different relationships. You can call this book a complete package for ADHD people to deal with life but even if you are not an ADHD person you would have a good time reading this book as its contents would be applicable in your life as well.
The English is very easy to understand and the author is very precise about everything he has written in the book. So if you are looking for a good book to read or have free time I would recommend this book to you.
